Heather O’Boyle, LCSW, MPH is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s Degree in Social Work and Public Health from San Diego State University. She has over 15 years experience assisting older adults in various healthcare settings, such as, hospitals, home health and hospice. Heather’s work has concentrated on end of life care and aging related issues. She understands the unique needs that individuals have, and uses her experience to provide compassionate and individualized care. She is passionate about providing person centered care where people can work toward their goals. When she’s not working, you can find Heather spending time with her family, going to the beach, and hiking.

Evelyn Parada is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker and proud native of San Diego, who brings over 15 years of dedicated experience in supporting older adults and their families. She earned her Master’s in Social Welfare with a concentration in Gerontology from UC Berkeley and later completed the Advanced Geriatric Mental Health Certificate through RIHS in San Diego. Evelyn’s career is grounded in providing culturally sensitive care to diverse senior populations. At the Union of Pan Asian Communities, she delivered in-home mental health services to isolated and vulnerable older adults, often collaborating with Adult Protective Services and Psychiatric Emergency Response Teams. Her approach combines problem-solving therapy, community resource navigation, and an unwavering commitment to dignity and compassion. As someone who considers herself an “old soul,” Evelyn feels a deep calling to serve older adults with patience, respect, and a focus on enhancing their quality of life. Her volunteer work includes roles with Hospice of Santa Cruz, the San Diego County Council on Aging, the San Diego Older Adult Council in Behavioral Health, and 12 years as a grocery shopper with ElderHelp of San Diego. When not working, Evelyn finds joy in spending time with family and friends, connecting with animals, exploring nature, and traveling. Her values of simplicity, mindfulness, and warmth resonate in both her professional and personal life.

Korie is a dedicated care manager with a strong background in case management and client advocacy. She specializes in developing personalized care plans and connecting individuals with essential resources, with a passion for enhancing quality of life through holistic care solutions. Her professional experience spans roles in aging life care, service coordination, and behavioral intervention. Korie has managed complex caseloads, led caregiving teams, and implemented data-driven strategies to improve client outcomes. She began her career providing hands-on care as a Certified Nursing Assistant, which shaped her compassionate approach to service delivery. Korie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Developmental Sciences from the University of California, San Diego, with minors in Biology and Psychology. She is a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) and Care Manager Certified (CMC), and she is proficient in Spanish. In her personal time, Korie loves to read, travel, and spend time with her family.

Shuji Masuda has a Master’s Degree in Public Health from San Diego State University and studied the Health Services Administration, and he has a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from California State University, Northridge. He also completed the Professional Fiduciary Management for Conservators and Trustees at California State University, Fullerton. He has more than 20 years of experience to work for the elderly population in Southern California. He has experience working as a RN at long term care facilities and as a charge nurse, unit supervisor, MDS nurse, and more. His experience also consists of working as the general manager of a home care company and while he managed the business, he also visited the clients and the families to assess the conditions of the clients and their needs, developed care plans, and arranged caregivers. In addition to the medical field experience he brings to Visionary Care, Shuji took a position as the agent under power of attorney for health and finance for an older adult and eventually became the trustee. Shuji understands the unique needs of older adults, utilizes his knowledge and experience, and finds ways to meet his clients needs. He has a lot of passion for helping seniors, enjoys working for them and with them, and treats each client with dignity, respect, and compassion.

Kapri has been in the healthcare industry for over 11 yrs. Her background includes being a CNA, RNA, a Med – Tech, an Activities Assistant as well as an Activities Director mostly in San Diego. Kapri has a Therapeutic Recreational Therapist certificate from the state of California and is looking forward to stepping into her role as the Thoughtful Engagement Specialist for Visionary Care Consultants in Southern California. Kapri loves bringing joy to our elders and is looking forward to digging deep to find what it is that makes them smile even if it is just a walk down memory lane, or recreating a favorite holiday. During her time working in memory care Kapri developed the Sensory Box. This is an activity that focuses on stimulating four main senses sight, touch, smell, and taste.

Kim Chavez is a native San Diegan and a Thoughtful Engagement Specialist with over a decade of experience as a caregiver, primarily focusing on clients with cognitive decline. She serves individuals throughout most of San Diego County, emphasizing the importance of understanding each client’s unique story. Known for her thoughtful approach, Kim adeptly navigates challenging behaviors, fostering environments where even the toughest cases can thrive. Her commitment to building meaningful relationships enriches the lives of those she serves and makes her a trusted advocate in the community.

Denise is a San Diego native who’s career in Healthcare began 20 yrs ago working as an EMT on an ambulance. It was during this time that Denise experienced first hand, helping families and/or individuals in medical or behavioral crises and knew that being a part of the Healthcare Industry would be her career home. Since her time as an EMT, Denise has carried the role of Business Development & Client Liaison in the Ambulance and Home Care Industry where she worked directly with local Hospital Systems, Skilled Nursing Facilities and Retirement Communities. In 2017 she moved into the Home Care Service sector as a Staffing Manager. This role continued to evolve, leading Denise to adding the position of Operations Manager. Denise’s years of experience out in the field, in Operations Management, having worked first hand with Patients and Families to Care Managers and Social Workers, allows Denise to be all encompassing to manage interactions with people within and outside the organization. Her passion for being a part of a dynamic team that makes a difference is her driving force.

A San Diego native, Jason brings over 18 years of experience in financial management and accounting within nonprofit organizations. With a strong passion for helping people and supporting business growth, he is known for being a resourceful and reliable team member. Jason holds an education in Business Management from National University, which, combined with his hands-on expertise, fuels his commitment to operational excellence. He has a keen eye for accuracy and efficiency, especially in account reconciliation and vendor relations. Now part of the Visionary Care Consultants team, Jason is excited to contribute his deep knowledge and heartfelt dedication to a mission that aligns with his personal and professional values.

Kaishauna Guidry, MD, HMDC, is a distinguished mobile concierge physician based in California. Born and raised in South Central Los Angeles, Dr. Guidry’s journey in medicine is marked by her deep-rooted connection to her community and a steadfast commitment to healthcare advocacy. Early Life and Education Dr. Guidry attended Susan Miller Dorsey High School and stayed local for her undergraduate education at UCLA, proudly cheering for the Bruins. She graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, complemented by a minor in Education Studies. Post-graduation, she dedicated her time to teaching elementary school students in the Los Angeles Unified School District. Family and Early Career Dr. Guidry has been married to her college sweetheart, Javelin Guidry, for 27 years. Together, they have three young adult children, one granddaughter, and a rescued Shih-Tzu named Bella. As a stay-at-home mom in Long Beach, California, she invested 14 years in raising her children and contributing to her community through various roles, including church activities, youth sports organizations, and the PTA. Pursuit of Medicine Inspired to shift her career towards medicine, Dr. Guidry embraced the role of a “Non-traditional PreMed student.” She enrolled at Long Beach City College, excelling as a Master Tutor of science courses and serving as a student representative for the science professor hiring committee. She furthered her education with post-baccalaureate coursework at Cerritos College, where she held positions on the Dean’s Advisory Board and as President of the PreMed Club. Dr. Guidry’s medical journey continued at Texas A&M College of Medicine. During her time there, she dedicated herself to serving underserved patients at the student-run clinic ‘Health for All.’ She then matched into the Categorical Internal Medicine Program at Loma Linda University Medical Center, allowing her family to return to California. In residency, she was chosen by her peers to advocate for interns on the Program Improvement Committee. She also pursued electives in palliative medicine, solidifying her commitment to end-of-life care. Professional Achievements Currently, Dr. Guidry operates Mourning Dove Medical, a private mobile concierge practice that brings healthcare directly to patients’ homes. Her expertise and compassionate approach are reflected in her inaugural podcast, “At The Heart of Healthcare with Dr. G,” launched in 2021. This podcast evolved into “Dr. G at the Heart of Healthcare,” with the first episode released on National Healthcare Decisions Day in 2023. Dr. Guidry’s literary contributions include her first book, Dr. G’s H.O.S.P.I.C.E. Pocket Guide: The 7 Things Hospice Physicians Need to Know to be Ready for Work, published on Doctor’s Day 2023. This guide is lauded as an essential resource for HPM fellows and physicians transitioning to hospice care. Her second book, The Real Deal About Hospice: Short Stories Highlighting the Advantages of Hospice Care for Patients and Families, released on World Hospice and Palliative Care Day 2023, aims to educate and empower a broader audience about the benefits of hospice care. Advocacy and Mentorship A staunch advocate for healthcare equity, Dr. Guidry serves on the executive boards of IDEAL for Healthcare and The Association of Black Women Physicians (ABWP). She is passionate about diversifying the medical field and providing strategic support for aspiring physicians. Her advocacy extends to mentoring young professionals and championing policies that address healthcare disparities. Personal Life Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Guidry prioritizes her family and indulges in hobbies such as self-care, beach visits, fine dining, and cheering for the LA Rams. Her life and work exemplify a commitment to improving healthcare delivery and fostering a more inclusive medical community.

After growing up in Los Angeles and attending UCLA as an undergraduate majoring in Microbiology, Dr. Kipper spent the next five years in the PhD. program in Immunology at UC San Francisco. While at UCSF, he worked on the role of T Cells – their maturation and importance – in autoimmune diseases like Lupus. After his PhD. work, he matriculated to UCLA Medical School, just as his two older brothers had done before him. After medical school, he settled in San Diego where he completed his residency program in Internal Medicine, in which he became Board Certified. After residency, Dr. Kipper founded Medical Group of North County in 1990. Over the years, MGNC grew to be one of the largest independent and private medical practices in San Diego’s North County, and eventually became a part of the UCSD Healthcare System. In 2010, Dr. Kipper left the practice to pursue his efforts in maintaining committed relationships with his patients by opening his own private concierge practice in Encinitas, Ca. He has been in solo practice there ever since. Visionary Care is thrilled to have him provide concierge medical care to our clients.
